URBAN ROOTS SUMMER CAMP 2017

Our summer camp program is open to local youth between the ages of 6-12 years.  We maintain a staff to camper ratio of 1:8 - maximum of 8 campers per session.  Our camp day runs from 9am - 1pm.  Campers bring a healthy lunch from home.  Snacks will be provided in the morning.  Tuition is $135/per week and includes all field trips and activities.  We also offer a generous 20% sibling discount and opportunities for bartering (time or goods).

Urban Roots Summer Camp is a community program for youth offered through Urbane Terrain.  We are passionate about living a healthy life-style, fostering creativity through the arts, and having a positive impact on our community.  Urban Roots Summer Camp reinforces all of these goals in a hands-on-environment.  Our program is structured but we empower our youth by allowing them to be key decision-makers, share ideas, and put their ideas into motion.

This year, we will have our camp sessions at Dimensions Family School on Ninth Street (above Francesca's).  This location is perfectly suited for appreciating and contributing to an urban landscape.  We have access to fabulous nearby spaces within walking distance and are merely a few blocks from E.K. Powe Elementary School.  Most importantly, youth are in for a treat with enriching field trips, guest speakers, and hands-on activities that foster creativity and leadership.  We are looking forward to a fabulous summer.
